Leaves Damaging Cars

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

Fall is one of the most beautiful times of the year in the United States as trees prepare for winter by shedding their leaves. The process of changing foliage is loved by many, as leaves change vibrant colors and eventually fall to the ground. Although beautiful, these leaves can be a bit of work to keep up.

They can clog gutters, make roads slippery, and leave behind sappy residue. In fact, if the leaves build up on your car, they can leave behind permanent stains that damage the exterior. Leaves are loaded with sap, pollen, and other acidic coatings that transfer on to the car when left for long periods of time.

If you are concerned about these fallen leaves damaging your car, the best thing you can do to ensure protection is to cover it with a truck cover or car cover. Not only will you be protecting your car from stains, but it’ll be protected from scratches from the leaves as well. Car covers are a low-cost way to make sure your car stays clean and damage free from falling leaves. It will also give you the peace of mind that your car is safe and undamaged. Covering your car will protect it against factors such as rain, dust, wind, snow, ice, sun, and other environmental issues. As the weather gets cooler in the winter, protecting your car against these elements can increase the life of your exterior.  Make sure your car is safe this fall season and protect it with a Max cover from Empirecovers.com. This cover is top of the line and will get the job done all winter long. You wouldn’t go into the cold without a coat, don’t let your car either!

Max Truck Cover Rave Reviews

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

Recent review from one of our recent customers:

“I had one of those other custom covers. You know the ones, custom cab and bed fit with the Dumbo ears. Well it got damaged and I needed a new cover. My truck is “my precious pride and joy” and I was unsure about purchasing a “less expensive” cover.

I live in HOT south Florida with lots of thunderstorms.
I just took the cover off today, after two weeks, expecting that I needed to wash the truck. The black interior was cool and the truck was perfectly clean on the outside!
Not a spot!

In the mornings lots of water is on the cover.
This is either from the nights rain or morning dew. I believe the shape (angled down from cab to tailgate) helps keeps water from sitting on the cover and the cover from laying on the truck. I have a black tonneau cover that’s always a huge pain to keep really clean and spot free.
Not a spot!

On the downside: I can not get the cover to fit back in the bag it came in. (Sigh) I must admit, “It HAD to fit back in the bag”, was not a needed requirement.

This cover has exceeded my expectations.
I HIGHLY recommend the Empire MAX cover!!!”

How truck cover works

The main thing to show is how the truck cover goes vertically from the cab to the end of the bed- that is to prevent water from building up in the bed. The water should roll off the bed if the fit is good. if you are having problems with the fit just fold in the mirrors. THank you

Protecting Against snow- a car cover works best

snow

A little grainy, but i am working on that. I am going to add video and images very soon to the website. I am more of a coder than i am a writer so please bare that in mind. I will tell the history of Empire some day. This picture was taken last winter at my grand fathers house. The cover did extremely well in the snow. This is a max car cover that i used. The only problem with snow is you have to take the cover off very slowly if it ices over. What you should do is heat up some water and pour it gently on the cover to melt the ice and take it off. Pretend you have a band-aid on your car. Be careful. If you have any request on what you want me to write about please email me at jake@empirecovers.com. I love complaints too. Those are the best.

My Car Covered

covered prius
covered prius

So i felt like a hypocrite the other day. i do actually keep my car covered as much as possible. I am using the ultimate cover because it was what was lying around the office that day and i felt like it was a very good car cover. It’s a pretty good fit. The reason i usually do not have it covered too is because i also have a bike rack on the back of my car. I like to bike around philly as much as possible. I am not saying you can’t have a car cover if you have a bike rack, i am saying i love my bike a lot. I actually use the VIP motorcycle cover to protect my bike and my wifes bike while we do not use it. I am not using this to advertise my website. I have a new kid coming soon in November and my wife didn’t want me putting the kid in the loft next to the wedding gifts we don’t use. The kid gets the second bed room and my bike gets the balcony. I do feel very secure that the bikes will be safe under the VIP motorcycle cover. If i was bigger hore i would start telling you about my wifes company that she works for where she gets all of her maternity clothes. O dam i did it again. O well have a nice day
