So purchasing a cover to protect your car, truck, or SUV was a great step- you no longer have to worry about damage from rain, from sun, or from mold. However, there are two products we offer here at Empire Covers to help make your vehicle cover even better!

The Gust Guard is great for those who live in a windy or breezy environment. It features a unique bungee system to help ensure that your vehicle cover stays secure. The History of Empire Covers!

Friday, May 27th, 2011

It all began seven years ago…

In 2004, Empire Covers was formed, just outside of Philadelphia.  We began selling car, truck, and SUV covers online at EmpireCovers.com.  Since then, we have vastly grown and have expanded our product line to include floor mats and covers for motorcycles, boats, snowmobiles, ATVs, RVs, and pet seats.  We sell diverse, reasonably priced covers for both indoor and outdoor use; this is done because at Empire Covers, we know our customers needs are different- we like to have something for everyone.

In 2008, we decided to expand our cover business to include high quality, durable patio furniture covers- which led to the creation of Empirepatiocovers.com. This product line includes covers for:  chairs, sofas, tables, ottomans, grills, hot tubs, fire pits, fountains, chaise lounges, umbrellas, log racks, and air conditioners.

We love our customers, and we strive to give you the best service and experience as possible.

Summer Is Approaching… Don’t Forget to Use Your Empire Cover!

Wednesday, May 18th, 2011

With the summer approaching (only 35 more days!!!) mother nature will indeed be throwing a mixture of nasty weather conditions our way.  Protecting your vehicle from these conditions is a must to help prolong the longevity of your car, truck, SUV or RV.

Summertime is a notorious season with variations in weather. Sunny days, rain, and thunderstorms are all common, and can easily damage your car, particularly the bodywork and paint.  The sun and its UV rays commonly fade paint, while rain and thunderstorms can lead to rust and discoloration.

No one wants their vehicle to look less than 100 percent.  If you do not have a garage or somewhere to protect your vehicle, it is important to invest in a quality cover to prevent damage and deterioration.  To help prevent fading, make sure the material of the cover features UV protection to restrict damage from those dangerous rays.  To prevent rusting and discoloration, invest in a cover that is either a 100% waterproof cover or one that is water resistant and breathable.

Now you might be thinking, what is the difference between a 100% waterproof cover and a water resistant breathable cover?  A 100% waterproof cover prevents all types of moisture from entering; while a water resistant breathable cover may let some moisture in, however the breathable features allows the water to evaporate and helps avoid mold and mildew growth.

Also important is to make sure your cover features non-abrasive material.  This will prevent any scratches appearing on your car from using a cover.

You may be thinking, “Taking a cover on and off my vehicle is such a hassle! I do not have the time nor energy to do it!”  However, using a car cover is actually simple, quick, and safe.  Watch the following video, made by Empire Covers, to show how easy it really is to use a car cover.

Leaves Damaging Cars

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

Fall is one of the most beautiful times of the year in the United States as trees prepare for winter by shedding their leaves. The process of changing foliage is loved by many, as leaves change vibrant colors and eventually fall to the ground. Although beautiful, these leaves can be a bit of work to keep up.

They can clog gutters, make roads slippery, and leave behind sappy residue. In fact, if the leaves build up on your car, they can leave behind permanent stains that damage the exterior. Leaves are loaded with sap, pollen, and other acidic coatings that transfer on to the car when left for long periods of time.

If you are concerned about these fallen leaves damaging your car, the best thing you can do to ensure protection is to cover it with a truck cover or car cover. Not only will you be protecting your car from stains, but it’ll be protected from scratches from the leaves as well. Car covers are a low-cost way to make sure your car stays clean and damage free from falling leaves. It will also give you the peace of mind that your car is safe and undamaged. Covering your car will protect it against factors such as rain, dust, wind, snow, ice, sun, and other environmental issues. As the weather gets cooler in the winter, protecting your car against these elements can increase the life of your exterior.  Make sure your car is safe this fall season and protect it with a Max cover from Empirecovers.com. This cover is top of the line and will get the job done all winter long. You wouldn’t go into the cold without a coat, don’t let your car either!

We Don’t Make Car Covers This Big

This giant vehicle sure is a mess. If only we made a car cover large enough to fit this beast. As you can see in the photo one of its tires is about the size of a normal Jeep Cherokee Sport.

How truck cover works

F150
F150
F150

The main thing to show is how the truck cover goes vertically from the cab to the end of the bed- that is to prevent water from building up in the bed. The water should roll off the bed if the fit is good. if you are having problems with the fit just fold in the mirrors. THank you

F150

I received emails saying please show more of your photo shoot and my designers were like no the truck covers are sacred, we cannot show unedited pictures. I told them ,”i give my people want they want, i am the boss.” The designers lost but i had to buy them lunch. They hate me writing this stuff. I swear i am going to get into videos soon. Anyone have any recommendations on what to write please let me know. So the F150 covered looks really good and the truck cover does go down vertical across the bed to prevent water from building up. I will have my designers draw it out for you someday to show the mechanics of a car cover. Love the blog, love me people. Ok please send any comments to jake@empirecovers.com and hope you enjoy.
